The home, which was built with 600 tons of stone, takes inspiration from Mr. Breitenbach’s past projects, as well as the family’s travels. “I’ve spent most of my life building beautiful homes for other people and I decided to build one for my wife and I,” said Mr. Breitenbach.

The infinity-edge pool is 55 by 22 feet, with a depth of ten feet. A Jacuzzi adjoins the pool.

The pool has a six-foot stone waterfall.

The pool is surrounded by lush greens and gardens designed by landscape architect Edmund Hollander. “The views are something I cannot build,” said Mr. Breitenbach of the home’s panoramic water views. “That’s why we spent so much time on landscaping.”

The backyard has three levels and multiple seating areas including a pergola, stone patios and two large covered porches. The couple has hosted cocktail parties in the backyard near the pool with about 120 guests.

The Breitenbachs say they spent nearly $12 million on construction of the two-story home. “I wanted a very comfortable house to live in, yet beautiful inside,” said Mr. Breitenbach.

The home has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

The moldings throughout were hand-crafted, some inspired by a hotel where the couple stayed in Venice.

The open-air loggia, shown at left, was inspired by a Costa Rican resort.

The master bedroom, shown here, has French door that open to a deck.

The couple owns several properties in Southampton and Bridgehampton. They plan to build another home on their waterfront property in North Haven.

Ms. Breitenbach is an agent with Corcoran. The couple listed the home with her employer in May for $14.995 million. It’s hard to leave here,” said Ms. Breitenbach. “We keep going back and forth about it.”
